Parents Beware!!!!!!!!!!

This was a great post that I read and thought that it had alot of great points. The "Christian College" they are referring to in this article is Lipscomb University in Tennessee. But the other ones that are just as liberal and have been for a long time is Abilene Christian University and Harding University. We really need to think long and hard on where we will be sending our children and we MUST always consider wherever they go: "Is there a strong sound church that is close by and if not my child will NOT go there." Brad Harrub ******WARNING****** “Last night I had the privilege of talking to a sweet Christian mother who had sent a strong faithful son off to a "Christian college" only to discover that after graduating, the college had completely undone everything she and her husband spent the previous 18 years working on. At this "Christian university" her son was taught that the Bible is not inspired, but rather a good book of stories--and with that, he is now questioning everything that has to do with authority. The "teaching" and indoctrination this young man received at college quite literally turned this young man against everything his parents believe is true. Through many tears she shared with me that he still attends a church, however his beliefs in no way mirror his parents. And this was a strong, faithful young man. When I hung up the phone my wife looked over at me and said, "I wish you had written down every single one of these calls and correspondences you've received in the last ten years. Maybe then Christian parents would wake up and see what the schools are doing to these kids." These are not isolated events. And to think parent's are paying literally thousands of dollars for this!! One comment that stood out to me during this phone call was the fact that many Christian parents have sent their kids away, and now those children attend "somewhere" and the parent's are so ashamed they won't mention the name of the congregation. (e.g., "Oh he/she attends a church somewhere in Nashville.") We have preachers, elders, deacons whose children leave college and run off to extremely liberal congregations or to community churches or some denomination. And still, we refuse to talk about it. We refuse to sound the alarm. We sit in the privacy of our homes and through tears pray they will return. Ask yourself this simple question: How many young people who return from college and live in the same general area as their parents wind up attending somewhere else? (And not because they want their own life...) Why are so many young people being drawn into a more progressive, liberal, causal worship setting? It is the silence and isolation of parents that are perpetuating the problem. When will we rise up and with a collective voice say: "If you are charging me $$$ for a "Christian education" then I am holding you responsible for teaching New Testament Christianity. And if you--as a "Christian University" don't, then you will refund every dime along with spiritual damages"? When will parents boldly declare to the brotherhood: "If you want your child to remain faithful then by all means do not send them to this alleged 'Christian university.'" Friends, these institutions that are so loved by many are literally snatching away the souls of our kids! If this were a fight in a dark alley and someone was trying to take away your child you would fight for them! So why have we laid down our swords when it comes to what they are being taught and indoctrinated with?! How long will we continue to be ashamed of where our children attend worship? How long will we continue to watch them walk out the door? How long will we keep allowing them to be educated at the feet of men who embrace liberal theology? How long will we sit on the floor and cry, praying to God for their souls? How long...”

Change in Blogging

Ok well I know that it definitly has been a long long long time since I have posted anything. I think that I am going to start posting other articles/videos that I read/watch that I think are interesting and trying to get God's word out there to everyone. I have seen so many people that I thought of as very strong christians that have fallen away from God's word. It saddens me deeply that they twist God's word to fit their life style when they should be transforming their lifestyles to fit God's word. This is a very good video on school dances and the prom. Its very good to watch and has alot of interesting points to consider. I hope the link comes up. Please take the time to watch it. If it doesnt come up please type in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZy_Ss2XuG0.
